Perhaps she should ask legislators to clarify the law. As someone who has worked in the service-industry, and as someone who has worked as a journalist, I know that the letter of the law is what matters, not the spirit.

If Washington law says the place can be fined for not checking IDs, then give this doorman a raise.

Don't Drink And Hit Puberty

OK, really, I don't fault the mom in this one. Thirteen-year-old kids are prats. I was when I was 13 -- this kid was too. I hope he learned his lesson:

A 13-YEAR-OLD boy was taken to hospital after police found him suffering from alcohol poisoning on a Dundee street.
